A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams – Giclée Art Print (Book Cover by Alvin Lustig)
Alvin Lustig’s 1947 cover for A Streetcar Named Desire is bold, simple, and full of character. Using just shapes and contrasts, he turned a famous play into a striking piece of modern design.
We’ve brought his original cover back to life as a museum-quality giclée print - a little slice of midcentury joy, ready for your wall.
La Suerte – Giclée Art Print (Fabric Label by E. McKnight Kauffer)
La Suerte (which means “luck” in Spanish) was originally designed as a lithographic fabric label. It’s one of an incredibly charming series designed by Edward McKnight Kauffer for Steinthal & Co. in Manchester between 1916 and 1926. The small, colourful labels were used for identifying bales of printed textiles destined for export - often to markets in South America, Africa, and Asia. The labels had printed fields "No", "Yds", and "Mts" to note number, yards, and metres.
We’ve carefully restored the artwork and turned it into a high-quality giclée print on beautiful museum-grade paper. They work beautifully as standalone pieces or paired or grouped for impact.
The Clio – Giclée Art Print (Book Cover by E. McKnight Kauffer)
The Clio was originally designed by Edward McKnight Kauffer as a book cover in 1925, for L.H. Myers’s second novel of the same name. It’s bursting with surreal charm — tropical plants, a steamship heading down the Amazon, a bird in flight, and even a cheeky crocodile.
The story itself begins as a luxurious river cruise, but things quickly shift. As the Clio sails deeper into the jungle, tensions rise. The group’s easy, privileged world is challenged — and what starts as lighthearted escapism turns into something much more serious. Politics, revolution, and big questions about purpose and meaning begin to stir.
We’ve taken Kauffer’s striking dust jacket design and carefully preserved it as a giclée art print on beautiful museum-quality paper.
