Our Giclée Printing Process.
We only print museum-quality giclée prints using specialist inkjet printers, archival inks, and fine art paper. Our aim is to reproduce artwork with sharp detail, rich colour, and a texture that feels closer to an original piece than a standard poster. Because the inks and papers are made to last, giclée prints are also more resistant to fading over time.
Our Paper.
We use premium quality Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm fine art paper for our prints. Its traditionally mould-made, lightly textured surface gives a beautiful velvety tactility, while its warm white hue adds depth and an understated elegance to our colourful vintage designs.
Sustainability is close to our hearts, and we love that this paper is made to last:
100% a-Cellulose: Made from the highest-grade part of wood pulp for strength and durability
Sustainably Sourced: From responsibly managed forests, certified by FSC or PEFC
Eco-friendly Coating: A bio-based inkjet layer, completely free from plastic films
Plastic Free: Fully recyclable through the standard paper cycle
Archival Quality: Acid- and lignin-free, meeting museum standards for long-term preservation
Low-impact Production: Made using clean water, renewable energy, and environmentally responsible processes
Fine Art Archival Inks.
Our printers are members of the Fine Art Trade Guild and the quality of their machines are tested annually to make sure they pass the Blue Wool Score - an internationally recognised 8-point system for assessing the light-fastness of materials.
Every one of our prints is lovingly made using only official UV (pigment based) inks to ensure that the tone, temperature and colour of the original design are faithfully reproduced.
UV inks contain enhanced light stabilisers, which are far more long-lasting than dye-based inks - meaning your artwork will stay as bright and bold as the day it was born for over 100 years.
